As we can see, PR field nowadays used a lot of new media tools in order to build a connections with customer or public. This is includes social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, and sometimes they used an electronic media to gain publicity for their organization. There are many free ways to make PR work, but networking is quickly becoming a main form of both advertising and PR for many organizations.
Social networking is the best medium to build a two way communication and making friends or promote your business of organization. There are various popular networking sites and if used effectively can produce a positive image for your business. Public Relations is basically making people see your company the way you want them to see it. Using networking sites, are easily able to create simple webpages for company. Share the company successes, awards, and even just your weekly on goings with the general public. This will show them your company is one that they can trust.
Using social networking to create a positive company image doesn't mean you should bombard people with your ads and ongoing sales. While it does give you the means to do so, people want to read content that is of value to them. For example, if you from an airline business or company, you could have a section of ticket reservation, destination to go, time and etc on your Airline website. You can link to this section. This gives them something of value and a reason to visit your page. When they need your services, they will remember this great site you have that helps people as well.
There are many ways you can use social networking, but you shouldn't forget about PR. They way the consumer views your company can make a huge difference in your bottom line. In the end, the bottom line is what matters. All businesses need a good PR plan and this is the some of new media used in Public Relations.
